Red Caboose Motel

Ok, this is the coolest motel ever! Joseph and I decided when Katie is a little older and would appreciate it better, we are definitely staying there for a weekend! I have to admit, it didn't look like Marriott-esque accommodations but the cool factor of sleeping in a caboose makes it worth it!

Somewhere Over The Rainbow

While I was taking a nap after the train trip, I missed out on this beautiful rainbow that Katie and Joseph went outside to enjoy.

Objects In The Mirror...

We went over to Jenine and Chris' tonight and Joseph decided to ride his bike over. I took some pictures of him on his bike through the mirrors in the car. They turned out kinda neat so I decided to post one. By the way, it's not so easy to take pictures of something behind you while trying to pay attention to the road ahead of you. I wouldn't recommend it! LOL

Backyardigans

We managed to fight off the mosquitoes long enough to get most of the bushiness of the grapevines cut back but we didn't come out unscathed. Katie would up with 2 bites right next to her eye! :(

Queen of the King

The other night Katie asked me why we all can't sleep in Mommy and Daddy's big (King size) bed. I told her there wouldn't be enough room for all of us to be comfy all of the time. She said "yes there is, Daddy can sleep on his side, you sleep here (on my side), and I'll sleep in the middle." Hmmm, I don't know about that because Katie is quite the bed hog!

Since Daddy wasn't home I let Katie sleep in my bed as a special treat. After she fell asleep I went into the computer room for a bit. When I came back this is what I found...

How could someone so small take up SO much room in a king size bed??? Bed hog! :-)

Jen & Steve's Engagement Party

On Sunday, we went to Steve's grandmom's house for a party to celebrate Jen and Steve's engagement. The house was amazing, definitely set-up for great entertaining! Kudos to Steve's grandpop, who I heard did most of the building, etc. I told Joseph he would totally be jealous if he saw it! And Steve's mom and grandmom made a lot of delicious food and a beautiful cake. The weather was great too! All around a great party! :-)

She looks like who?

I found this site that I had bookmarked a long time ago but never did anything with. So I uploaded our pictures today and SURPRISE, Katie looks like both of us! Personally I think she looks just like I did when I was little (I think it's the space in between her front teeth) but I see Joseph in her all of the time too! :-)

Sorry Joe, she's not Dr. Castlebaum's, LOL!

Katie's 3 Year Old Portraits

After a flurry of professional pics this past fall and early winter, I haven't taken Katie to get her pictures taken since then. Today I took her for her 3rd birthday pictures to a new place around us, Portrait Innovations, and the pictures turned out great! They printed the pictures right after the sessions so we got the prints today and they gave me a CD with all 81 pictures they had taken on it (unheard of at the other photo places around here).

At first Katie was kind-of camera shy but then she warmed up and had a lot of fun, :-)

K-A-T-I-E

About 2 weeks ago, Katie signed Poppy's Father's Day card (I know, a little late, lol!) and she wrote her name all by herself for the first time. I had to remind her how to make some of the letters but she wrote everything without any help from me.

We finally remembered to give the card to Poppy this past Thursday so I was able to take a picture (since I had forgotten to take it when she wrote it!).

It's a start... :-)
