3 Week Check-Up

Ryan had his 1 week post-NICU check-up today and he is doing great! When we left the NICU, he weighed 7lbs, 15.8 ozs then at his first check-up 2 days after leaving the NICU, he was 7lbs, 14 ozs. One week later he weighed in at... drumroll please... 8lbs, 12 ozs! That's almost a whole pound in 1 week!!! The doctor was very happy that he is doing so well, :-) He also grew a 1/2 inch, from 20.5 to 21 even. His cord still hasn't fallen off yet so the doctor put some silver nitrate on it to speed up the process. By tonight it's almost off already! I'll be glad to be able to give him a real bath without having to worry about keeping the cord dry.
