Happy 90th Aunt Ida!

Sandy, Marie and I went to Aunt Ida's 90th birthday party in Brooklyn. I didn't take too many pictures because I didn't feel like snapping pics (imagine that! LOL). But Sandy took a lot of good ones if you want to check them out.

And... Happy 25th Anniversary to Father Guy! Unfortunately we won't be able to make it to the dinner his congregation is hosting in his honor because we'll be in Myrtle Beach but we definitely would've been there otherwise! They had a cake yesterday to celebrate since so many out-of-towners were there who might not be able to make it to the church's celebration.

My Best Friend

Yesterday morning Katie came into my room and hopped into bed around 7am. We needed to get up and get ready for work and school but I was still snoozing, avoiding getting up! Katie usually asks me to turn on the TV right away but instead she just kinda laid there quietly. Then out of the silence, she said "I'm your best friend, right Mom?" (awwww!!!) I said "You sure are!" and then she said "Yeah, because we do EVERYTHING together!" (melt my heart!)

We went to the Garden State Discovery Museum to celebrate Samantha's 2nd birthday. All of the kids had a great time! Sandy and I took Katie and Juli there before and I guess they were just too young at the time because this time, Katie had a blast!

New 'Do

I finally went and got my hair highlighted (and cut). I haven't had it colored since before I had Katie! It turned out really great. I just wish I could do my hair as well as my stylist did! I told her if I win the lottery, I'm going to hire her to come do my hair every morning! LOL

This past weekend Joseph and James completed their motorcycle course so they have officially 'joined the club'. Joseph and John went to upstate NY yesterday to pick up Joseph's new motorcycle. Joseph said "When we started seeing signs for Montreal, we knew we were way up there!" LOL It took them about 5 hours each way. Katie saw it this morning and thought it was pretty cool. She couldn't wait to sit on it and 'ride' it.

Happy Semi-Retirement, Mom-Mom!

I just realized that I never posted this... Mom-Mom took a buy-out after working for the Inquirer for almost 30 years! So for now she's in "semi-retirement", at least until the fall when she starts looking for another position. If you're looking for her this summer though, you'll be able to find her hanging out at the swim club, helping Janet run the snack bar and front gate. :-)

Home Sweet Home

Poppy made settlement on his new house last Wednesday and on Saturday we all helped move him and Rudy into the new place. No pictures yet, but I'll be sure to add some when I take them!

Bubble-licious!

We got an automatic bubble maker last night because Katie can't blow the bubbles the old-fashioned way yet and she gets so frustrated. I try to blow them for her to pop but then she wants to try and can't do it and a melt-down ensues. She loves the bubble machine though!
