Fall Festival

The primary school had their fall festival tonight and despite the rain, the 'show must go on'. I took Katie, Kelly, and Liam, and then Chrissy and John met us there. I have some pictures of the kids decorating their pumpkins but I can't get them off of the memory card they're on because it doesn't fit in my card reader. :-( So if I ever figure out how to get to them, I'll come back and add to the post.

I do have this picture though... LOL John was more excited than the kids to be getting his face painted!

The Budding Artists

Katie brought home this paper from school on Friday that she and Juli worked on together. She said she colored the front and Juli drew a chameleon on the back. Fine work from both of them if I must say so myself! :-)

She told me "I tried to draw a football but it didn't work very good." Once she said that, I could see how it might have been footballs in her mind. The laces just wound up under the ball instead of on them, LOL. I'll give her an A for effort.

Prima Ballerina

Katie started dance class today. She was so excited and couldn't wait to get there. Juli's in the same class and one of her good friends from school is also in the class so she had a great time! They do a combo of ballet, tap, and hip-hop. I'm not sure yet if Katie got Joseph's or my dance talent (poor kid) or maybe Aunt Karen's (that'd be good!) but either way, she's having fun! :-)

Once the teachers went into the 'studio' (I guess that's what it's called, right?), the door is shut so the kids aren't distracted by the parents out in the waiting area but we get to watch them on TV. It was just so darn cute!!!

Roar To The Shore 2008

This past weekend we headed down to Wildwood, NJ for Joseph's first bike rally (well, as a participant anyway!). James and Sandy went too, and we were all kid-free for the weekend. I think the last time that happened was when we went to Villa Roma for vacation before Juli was born. It's been a while!

Joseph and James rode their bikes down on Friday afternoon and Sandy & I met them down there that night... at just about the same time as Hurricane Hanna arrived! Luckily, it wasn't a wash-out though. It did rain pretty hard for a bit on Friday night and then off and on on Saturday until a downpour for a few hours in the afternoon/early evening. After that, the skies cleared up and Saturday night and Sunday were beautiful!

Katie's 1st Day in the "Big Kid Class"

Today Katie (very excitedly) moved up to the 3 year old class. Now she's with Juli and her friends Sean and Kaiya again. They all moved up in the spring/summer and she's been missing them so much!
