Jack-O-Lantern

Katie and Joseph carved a jack-o-lantern tonight. Katie had lots of fun helping Daddy take the 'goo' out of the pumpkin and drawing the eyes, nose, and mouth. Joseph did all of the grown-up work - carving and setting up a light - and viola, Jack was born!

We went to an ultrasound tonight hoping to find out the gender of Bubbles. As soon as the ultrasound probe hit my stomach the first shot we saw the 'goods'. There was no doubt...
So, it's settled... Bubba! :-)

Say It Ain't Snow!

Yesterday we were surprised by an out-of-the-blue snowstorm. Odd because I can't remember the last time it snowed this early in the season. Actually I'm not sure if I ever remember snow in October! Just googled it real quick and in this article it says the last time was in 1979. Since I was only 3, I certainly don't remember it!

The snow even caused Game 5 of the World Series, where the Phillies are just a few outs from taking the pennant, to be suspended another night (first night ended because of horrible rain). Now that the weather has cleared today, I hope the game resumes tonight so Philly can get the win and get this over with! Go Phillies! :-)

Some Disney Stragglers

Found a few more pics on my camera and I'm gathering the pictures the Disney people took of the girls with the princesses and Mickey and Minnie. Once I have those, I'll post a few of them too.

On our last day in Disney, we hit the Marketplace one more time to close out the week. Katie saw the train ride there and asked if she could go on one more ride before we left.
After we left the Marketplace, we got on the road but had to make a pit stop at the Daytona Harley Davidson store, Joseph's bike mecca, lol. The place is huge! Besides the store, they have a food stand, restaurants, and a hotel.
Once we got on the 'open road', it was smooth sailing and we even got to see a beautiful rainbow along the way.

Happy 60th Anniversary Uncle Mario and Aunt Paulette!

Marie and I went up to Brooklyn today for Aunt Paulette and Uncle Mario's 60th wedding anniversary party. Big congrats to them on 60 wonderful years, :-). Amazing!!!

Tugs

Katie and I took a ride up to NY to visit Joseph tonight. She's been sick all week with a 'favor' (fever) and it finally broke this morning. Since she was feeling better and I had to take a 1/2 day since she was home from school, we had some free time so we decided to spend it with Daddy. We went to a restaurant called R.H. Tugs on the river and watched the boats go by as we ate our (not so good, lol) dinner.

All Caught Up

Bubbles or Bubba?

Today we went for the "big" ultrasound that measures the baby's organs, limbs, brain, head, torso, etc. to make sure everything is healthy and growing on track. It's also the ultrasound where we get to find out the gender of the baby. :-)

So... here's the good news and the bad news:

Good news - Bubbles is healthy and measuring right on track! :-)

Bad news - The cord was between the legs the whole time so we didn't get to find out if it's a boy or girl! :-(

More good news - We have another u/s on 11/10 so we should be able to find out then! :-)

We've been so busy lately I haven't had time to update. Now that we're back from vacation I'm hoping to get all caught up this week with plenty of pictures of Disney and a few things from before we left! :-)

Animal Kingdom

Aunt Karen and Uncle Chris took Katie with them and Maddie to Animal Kingdom today. Joseph and I packed our stuff and went shopping for a bit while they were gone. It wasn't long before they called though to ask us to pick them up because it was just too darn hot. So we all wound up at the pool instead!

Another Pool Day

Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom wound up being the only parks we ventured out to this year so that meant there was a lot of time for relaxing by the pool. At the beginning of the week, Katie was playing it safe, only staying on the steps and where she could touch the bottom of the pool. By Thursday, she had turned into a little fish and had no fear. She was all over the place!!!
