Through The Lens

We were sitting on the patio tonight and Katie asked if we could take a walk. I really didn't feel like it so I suggested tomorrow instead. She said "but if we go for a walk, it'll be so much easier!" I asked her what would be easier. Katie - "Then it would be easier for me to take lots of pictures with my cambra!" She was so excited to take pictures I had to give in to the walk, :-).

She kept stopping me with "Wait, I've got to take a picture of this!" LOL Here's some of her shots from tonight...

Um, where's the rest of my head?

One more picture from inside of the tree.
Her friends Carie and Shane came out right after that picture so then the camera was second fiddle and her photoshoot was over!

Joseph's Train Pictures

Here's some of the pictures Joseph took of the Strasburg Railroad trains. No explanation necessary, they're just for your viewing pleasure! :-) I love the last one. It looks so old!

Katie's 3 Year Old Portraits

After a flurry of professional pics this past fall and early winter, I haven't taken Katie to get her pictures taken since then. Today I took her for her 3rd birthday pictures to a new place around us, Portrait Innovations, and the pictures turned out great! They printed the pictures right after the sessions so we got the prints today and they gave me a CD with all 81 pictures they had taken on it (unheard of at the other photo places around here).

At first Katie was kind-of camera shy but then she warmed up and had a lot of fun, :-)

Warning: picture overload... (These are the 'raw' photos, uncropped.)

It's Tough Being A Baby!

Eating Cheerios and bananas and watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse really takes a lot out of ya!

Finally!!!

Katie has been so scared of the snow. She won't walk in it at all and freaks out if we even put it on our hand for her to touch it. Last night, out of the blue, that all changed! Joseph went outside to take out the trash and Katie opened the front door and said "it's snowing!" Just for the hell of it, I said "Wanna go out and play in the snow with Daddy?" To my surprise, she jumped off the couch and said "yeah, I wanna go crush the snow!" (Last week I was showing her how I could crush the snow with my feet and make a footprint. Not to be punny but... I guess it made an impression!)

So she ran and grabbed her boots, a hat, gloves and her coat and was out the door with Daddy. They were out there for about 15 minutes and I think she would have stayed out but it was getting cold (and it was bed time too).
Ok, so I'll give this snow thing a try...
It feels okay...
Check out my snow gear.
By the way, I had to trek through a lot of "deep" snow to get to this spot!
Katie's about to "Superfly Snuka" herself right down the hill.
Ok, let's head back inside. I'm freezin'!

Kudos To Joseph!

Since his last 100%, Joseph has been working on getting a perfect score on Story Of My Life and last night he finally did it. No one was around to congratulate him (I'm sick so I was sound asleep!) so he took lots of pics to prove it, LOL. Here they are in all their glory...

Happy Birthday Mom-Mom, Two Mom-Mom, Aunt Norene and Aunt Karen (who was MIA)

We went over to Mom-Mom's house to celebrate a belated birthday for Mom-Mom, Aunt Karen and Two Mom-Mom's birthday tomorrow and Monday, and an early birthday for Aunt Norene. Karen wound up being sick though so no cake for her (thinking Soup Natzi there, lol).

Cake for MEEEEEEEE???
Someone call the fire department!
Spanning the generations
Aunt Norene is the oldest in our family and Katie is the youngest.
Speaking of spanning generations, the dress Katie is wearing was my mom's! Me, Karen, Maddie and now Katie have all worn it and it's still in great condition. Aunt Norene bought it for my Mom 50-some years ago. I think she got her money's worth!
(We sung to Two Mom-Mom but Pop was behind the lens and didn't get a pic of that.)

One of Two Mom-Mom's favorite gifts... Bailey's Irish Cream.
Katie nearly poking Mom-Mom's eye out with wrapping paperMom-Mom checking out her new iced tea maker
Something tells me Katie doesn't want the Momarazzi to take any more pictures. (By the way, she was in the closet because they were playing hide-n-seek.)

Snuggling
Katie's french braid from earlier in the day which gave her the "crinkly" hair tonight. I was surprised she sat to let me do it but she was really good and excited about her pretty braid.
