Will Work For Money

Just to fill you all in, on Oct 1st my company was bought out by our main competitor. The sales production department (my dept) at the new company is based out of Charlotte, NC so there's not a job for me up here. :-( My last day is October 31st.

I've already started looking for a new job and have quite a few good leads. Keep your fingers crossed for me! (And let me know if you know someone hiring!)

Mommy and Me

A cute pic of me and Katie tonight. She actually posed and wanted to take a bunch of pics so she could see herself. Usually it's a struggle to get her to look at the camera and smile at the same time! LOL

My Favorite Girl

Katie and I have this thing where I start with an "I love you" and she says "I love you" back. Then I say "I love you the most!" and she says "I love YOU the most!". This goes back and forth for a few minutes and usually ends in silliness with me saying things like "I love you like a fat kid loves cake" and Katie cracks up, even though she doesn't know what it means (well, at least I don't think she's old enough to get that joke!).

So tonight we're going through this and I said "I love you the most. You're my favorite girl!" and Katie said "I love you the most!" in response. So I said "Who's your favorite girl?" fully expecting her to say me. But guess who's her favorite girl - Olivia! Her answer to my question exactly was "Livi's my favorite girl. She lives at her house. Her name is Olivia."

Well, jeez, I see where I rate with Katie now (somewhere behind Livi at the least, and likely behind "Jules" and Maddie too, I'm sure!). It's ok, behind Katie, they're my favorite girls too! :-)

P.S. - I will eventually get to filling in those other posts. If only I could find some time...

Pumpkin Patch

Crayola Factory

Last Saturday, Joseph and I took Katie to the Crayola Factory in Easton on a whim. What a great decision! All three of us had so much fun!!! I think it's safe to say we all can't wait to go back. :-)

Here's how the crayons are made:

Wax poured onto belt and it drops through the holes into a crayon mold.
Once it cools the tray holding the new crayons is pulled out from under the belt
and taken to the next machine.

Honestly, I forget what this machine does, lol.
I think it sorts out the crayons and rids the bad quality ones.

Katie's REAL Big Girl Bed

Last Monday night, Joseph and I took Katie to Sleepy's and helped her pick out a new big girl bed so hopefully she would stop sleeping on the floor every night. On Wednesday, Joseph took down the crib and stored it downstairs. Then that night, Poppy and Rudy went with us to pick up the new bed and get it set up in Katie's room. She got new Princesses sheets and a new comforter too. Katie helped me make the bed and then hopped right in and slept all night through. She's been sleeping in it every night since, no problems! :-)

Introducing... Karen and Chris Davis!

Finally... Uncle Chris is REALLY Uncle Chris now! Karen and Chris got married last Saturday, October 6th! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Everyone looked wonderful, the weather was great, and we had tons of fun!
