Moving Right Along
Now it's Joseph's turn to be sick, :-(. He's getting the same thing I had. Lucky guy!
Better Late Than Never, Right?
I bought a gingerbread house kit to make for Christmas but the holidays came and went and no gingerbread house! It was sitting in the corner of our dining room and tonight Katie kept asking me if we could put it together so I figured it was about time!
Well, so far the walls are still standing...
The Finished Product
We were going to do Katie's name but couldn't fit it, so we had to just go with initials.

Making It's Rounds
So now it seems like Katie is getting sick again. She had a cold about 3 weeks ago, then Joseph got sick, then Katie again with a fever and sore throat, then me, and now it looks like it's her turn again! Everyone around us has been sick lately. I can't wait until the spring comes and we can clear out these germs and get some fresh air flowing!
We stopped at James and Sandy's after our lil' road trip and Katie was fine, well except a runny nose she's had for days. All of the sudden she said her "eyes are scratchy" and then it was downhill from there. We took her temp and she had a low fever and got really quiet and looked so tired. Once we got home, Katie made herself comfy on the couch to rest....

Sunday Drive
We wanted to get out of the house today but I didn't really feel like doing much because I'm still getting myself back to normal so we decided to go for a drive up to the New Hope area. There's lots of big farms and open land up that way so there was a lot of beautiful scenery with the snow coating everything.
Crossing the Delaware into Lambertville, NJ
Right past those 2 buildings we found an old ski lift and slope.
It was really "antique" looking and cool!

Snow Bunnies
About an hour after Joseph got home on Tuesday night I wound up sick and have been since so I've just been a ball of fun since then, LOL. I'm feeling much better now but not yet 100%. On Friday, Joseph, Maddie and Katie went to play with Uncle James, Juli and Livi in the snow while I tried to get some rest so I could feel better. Word on the street is that Juli started a snow ball fight by scooping up a bunch of snow and putting it in Uncle Joseph's face. From there on out, I think there was a "war". They had a great time!
Giant snowball, anyone?

Finally!!!
Katie has been so scared of the snow. She won't walk in it at all and freaks out if we even put it on our hand for her to touch it. Last night, out of the blue, that all changed! Joseph went outside to take out the trash and Katie opened the front door and said "it's snowing!" Just for the hell of it, I said "Wanna go out and play in the snow with Daddy?" To my surprise, she jumped off the couch and said "yeah, I wanna go crush the snow!" (Last week I was showing her how I could crush the snow with my feet and make a footprint. Not to be punny but... I guess it made an impression!)
So she ran and grabbed her boots, a hat, gloves and her coat and was out the door with Daddy. They were out there for about 15 minutes and I think she would have stayed out but it was getting cold (and it was bed time too).

Ok, so I'll give this snow thing a try...
Kudos To Joseph!
Since his last 100%, Joseph has been working on getting a perfect score on Story Of My Life and last night he finally did it. No one was around to congratulate him (I'm sick so I was sound asleep!) so he took lots of pics to prove it, LOL. Here they are in all their glory...

Happy Birthday Mom-Mom, Two Mom-Mom, Aunt Norene and Aunt Karen (who was MIA)
We went over to Mom-Mom's house to celebrate a belated birthday for Mom-Mom, Aunt Karen and Two Mom-Mom's birthday tomorrow and Monday, and an early birthday for Aunt Norene. Karen wound up being sick though so no cake for her (thinking Soup Natzi there, lol).

Spanning the generations
Aunt Norene is the oldest in our family and Katie is the youngest.
Speaking of spanning generations, the dress Katie is wearing was my mom's! Me, Karen, Maddie and now Katie have all worn it and it's still in great condition. Aunt Norene bought it for my Mom 50-some years ago. I think she got her money's worth!

(We sung to Two Mom-Mom but Pop was behind the lens and didn't get a pic of that.)

Something tells me Katie doesn't want the Momarazzi to take any more pictures. (By the way, she was in the closet because they were playing hide-n-seek.)

Katie's french braid from earlier in the day which gave her the "crinkly" hair tonight. I was surprised she sat to let me do it but she was really good and excited about her pretty braid.

Meet the Newest Princess
Tonight Livi came over to hang out with us while James, Sandy and Juli went to Sandy's cousin Amy's wedding. Katie had fun playing with Livi and when Katie put on her Cinderella outfit, she decided that Livi needed to be a princess too. So... introducing Snow White! :-) (The pictures are so cute I'm just going to post a bunch of them even though they're very similiar.)
After Livi had enough of wearing the crown, she shared it with me.
Here I am with my girl Cinderella.

Happy Valentine's Day
Since our #1 Valentine (Daddy) wasn't around tonight, we got to spend Valentine's Day with Poppy and Rudy. Katie and I decorated a delicious V-day cake and it was so yummy!

And viola, it's pink!!!

(The white hearts were supposed to leave pink hearts in the middle
of the sprinkles but the icing was too soft and it didn't work out too well!)
