Good News!

This morning I went for an ultrasound that is part of a new series of testing to check for birth defects. I'm happy to report that the baby is measuring perfectly and everything looks great!

I haven't had a chance to scan these yet, only to take pics with my camera so they're not the greatest but here they are none-the-less...

Head at top, feet at bottom

This will probably mean nothing to most reading, but the nuchal fold measured between 1.6 and 2.1, which is a great measurement and right on track. Bubbles measured at 13weeks, 2 days. That's about 6 days further along than the 3/10 due date my Doctor gave us.

When the tech turned on the ultrasound, the first thing we saw was a profile with the baby sucking or playing with it's finger. It was SO darn cute, but she didn't give me a picture of that, :-(. Then the baby did a complete flip and we went from looking at the head to seeing the legs and butt (too early to tell if it is a girl or boy). The past few days I've been thinking I might be feeling some movement but haven't been sure. I've been chalking it up to gas, LOL, but after seeing all that moving around today, maybe it is the baby that I've been feeling!

Flashback

Mom-Mom and Pop can't find the cable to take pictures off of their camera so I took the camera home to take the pics off for them. They have pictures that go WAY back on the card and it was funny to pretty much see Katie grow up through their pictures. Here's some of them:

Katie's school has been closed this week so she's been spending the week with Mom-Mom & Pop since Joseph isn't home and have work. Pop had off today so they decided to go on a little road trip to the Lancaster area.

Happy Birthday to Denise...again!

We had our usual Thursday night dinner with Poppy and celebrated my birthday. We had yummy beef stew for dinner and Ruthanne made her specialty dessert "Texas Fling" for us to try. It was so good!

My day started off with a donut and bagel breakfast at work and a Coach wristlet bag from my bosses. I'm pretty sure this is the one... (I didn't take any pics and it's upstairs so I don't feel like going to get it right now, lol)
I had to run out to do something for my boss and when I got back, I had these from Joseph:


I was so surprised because flowers for special occasions are not the norm for me and Joseph. They are so beautiful! :-) Even the guys in my office were commenting on how pretty they are!

To finish off my "work birthday" we had ice cream cake from Coldstone Creamery in the afternoon. Yummy!!!

Then I went to my Mom & Kevin's for my favorite dinner - cream of chicken - with them, Two Mom-Mom and Katie. Then we had Happy Cake, another one of my favs! All in all, it was good day! :-) It only would've been better if Joseph was home!

Through The Lens

We were sitting on the patio tonight and Katie asked if we could take a walk. I really didn't feel like it so I suggested tomorrow instead. She said "but if we go for a walk, it'll be so much easier!" I asked her what would be easier. Katie - "Then it would be easier for me to take lots of pictures with my cambra!" She was so excited to take pictures I had to give in to the walk, :-).

She kept stopping me with "Wait, I've got to take a picture of this!" LOL Here's some of her shots from tonight...

Tonight Aunt Sandy, Juli and Livi came over for Katie's birthday dinner with me, Joseph, Katie, and Maddie. Then Grandma came over to sing Happy Birthday and Katie got even more presents!
